Why do you have to go over the side make it where ever comes out the back.... And tool boxes open from inside the bed not outside no reason you have to go over the bed rails

Look up clear bra...it is a thick plastic clear film that can be pealed off later. I have used it on motorcycles..
I put my reels at the back of the bed and lay them out over the tail gate. It's a 1984 chevy c 30 so paint scratches are not really an issue..

Check in youtube under Plasti Dip... They spray whole cars with it, then rip it back off. Comes in a lot of colors and clear.
