I had a problem with one I pulled out of the weeds, after I got her running she had no juice. I started her by "shaking hands" with my other machine and it has been fine ever since.

For the thin stuff, I knife edge the joint and hold it tight. Make sure you have a good purge going and walk the root right on on there.

I was Miller brainwashed in school, that they were the best, when I started out on my own a bought a Miller engine drive. I later bought an SA-200 as a backup machine, lets just say an SA-250 now...

I use Carborundum Gold wheels, both grinding and whizzers. They are a great product, and so far still usa made. BTW the Norton factory is less than 20 miles from me in Worcester MA.

I had 250k on my F-350 with a 7.3 and auto tranny, run hard everyday. My GMC will never see that unless I swap in a Cummins.

If a pump and injectors cost you 10 grand on a Cummins you got taken. I can get a new P pump for 900 bucks and high performance injectors for under 50 a piece.

Yup, looking for another one, the POS GMC I replaced my F-350 with is not even half the truck the Ford was. That is what I get for buying the body I wanted and not caring about the chassis it was on....

I did it out of a shortbed one ton for almost 10 years, so it can be done. It sucks, but it can be done. Once you have a welding deck, or a service body you will wonder how you did it.

That is a good truck, my rig is a "service" body with a crane on it. I use it everyday fixing heavy equipment, doing structural, and even welding pipe:D
